I’m greatly honored that my entry into the Nikon Festival short film contest was selected as one of the 50 finalists out of over 1200 entries. I put together this site to clarify the rating / voting process in order make sure that everyone who likes my film can support it during the Audience Award portion of the contest. $25,000 will be awarded to the film that receives the highest average rating and the most views as decided by the audience’s votes!
Please watch the video above by clicking on the play button on the left, then cast your vote by clicking on the 5th star to the right underneath the title, “New York State of Mind” on my film’s Nikon Festival page (see graphic below).
Before you rate, when hovering over the 5th star it will show a “5.” After you record a successful rating, hovering over the stars will show the number of votes and average like, “454 votes, average: 3.52 out of 5.”
You can only rate each film once per I.P. address, so depending how your network is set up, you might be able to only vote once no matter how many computers or people you have in your home. But please remember to watch anywhere you have internet access; at the office, the computer store at the mall, your friend’s house, anywhere. Every view helps!
Please also watch and rate all the other contenders in the contest. There are some good films in there, though I’d hope that mine is the only one that garners your 5 star rating
You can support me by sharing this page with your friends on social networks like Facebook, Twitter, Digg, Myspace and email by using the share bar below. The more people that get to this page, the better chance I’ve got!
I’ve been up in the Top 10 so far on ratings, so I believe there is really a chance to make this happen, but I can’t do it without your help. Thank you very much for your support!

Nice work.
How can a Maui girl miss the bustle, smell and crowds of NYC so much? This video reminds me why NYC is the greatest city on the planet! Thanks
